Both St Mildred’s Church, Whippingham, and St James Church, East Cowes are part of our wonderful welcoming Christian community. We are active Church of England congregations, within the wider worldwide Anglican Church.
Regardless of who we are and were we are from, we are united in our passion for God, and our heart to serve Jesus in all that we do and everywhere we go- in homes, schools, pubs, our Royal Church, and our famous Jigsaw festival!
We are encouraged by the many ways that God’s presence is transforming us, as individuals, as churches, and as communities, and we wholeheartedly invite you to be a part of this exciting time.
Please join us at either of our weekly services, or at another of our events, and get to know us over tea, coffee and fellowship- we know that you will be most welcome indeed.
God Bless,
Rev Susan Paterson and The Congregations of St Mildred’s, Whippingham, and St James, East Cowes.

OUR CHURCHES ARE BACK TO NORMAL
CURRENT WORSHIP ARRANGEMENTS
We are back! For those who feel confident to attend, our services have now resumed, since this was the majority verdict of both PCCs. However, please do not feel pressurised into attending if you do not feel safe to do so: the PCC decisions were not unanimous. Even if you have had the vaccine, be aware that others have yet to do so, and that those who have been inoculated can still be carriers of infection.
There will be coffee and tea available in the Parish Centre itself at St Mildred’s after the Sunday service!
Meanwhile the diocesan website www.portsmouth.anglican.org still has a direct link to parishes that are streaming live worship, while for those unable to access such resources this pewsheet continues to contain material for offering a “spiritual communion” at home. You must do whatever feels right and safe for you – though of course we very much look forward to seeing some of you in church. Wrap up warm!
St Mildred’s, Whippingham, will have it’s 11.15 service.
St Mildred’s Coffee Shop is OPEN from Monday to Thursday from 10am to 3.45pm. We are very grateful to Sue Richmond and the rest of the catering team for this provision.
The CHURCH is OPEN to visitors MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY from 10am until 3.50pm. It is CLOSED to visitors on FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY.
PREVIOUS SERVICES AT WHIPPINGHAM are available on YOU TUBE: you

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
